Tech accessories UK verdict 4 out of 5 stars.

One of the main features of Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones is its simple one-touch pairing for both iOS and Android devices. Simply unbox them draw the case close to your phone and connect it to your device. The Beats Studio Buds certainly employ the smallest, and most sustainable form factor to date from Apple’s Beats brand.  Approximately 92% of the packaging is made of plant-based material sourced from recycled fibre.

The Design

Each earpiece of the Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones is small, weighs 5g and has a round pill shape bud. iPhone users can go into the Bluetooth menu, click on the paired buds and you can determine the level of noise control, access Siri or adjust volume when you press each bud for a short amount of time. With Android phones, this is all done in the app.

Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Water Resistant Headphones

In terms of water resistance, the Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are rated IPX4, making them sweat-resistant but not waterproof. That means you can use them for a quick workout, however, without the ear hooks they're a little less secure. Perhaps it will not be good for the beach as they could fall out.

One thing to note, the play/pause button placement on the two earbuds can disrupt your listening experience. For example, every time the earbud slips out, you’ll have to push it back in, and you’re most likely going to press the button and pause the music. You might be able to avoid this by pinching the earbuds and pushing them in that way, but you still might press it down because the button overlaps the edges. However, once you navigate around this feature, you will enjoy using your Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones.

With up to 36 hours of total battery life and up to 9 hours from the earbuds, Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are excellent for long-distance travel. A 5-minute Fast charge can also provide an hour of additional use, so you get more music, podcasts and calls between every charge.

Active Noise Cancelling and Transparency Mode

The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) has been created to adapt to your fit, removing unwanted external noise to keep you immersed in the music or an audiobook. However, when I tested the Noise cancellation, I found that it was not perfect because when walking I could still slightly hear each step I took. Also, the transparency does not work as well as other earbuds like Air Pod Pros.

Enhanced Apple and Android Compatibility

It’s also worth mentioning that The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are the first Beats product to support both FindMy in iOS and Find My Device on Android. This is a great feature and allows you to locate lost earbuds using their last known location (when paired via Bluetooth) or by playing a sound when they are near to you.

Verdict

The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are one of the best-sounding earbuds Beats have made. They’re comfortable to wear and they sound great, plus they support active noise cancellation.

In terms of Sound quality, we would recommend it considering the price is £120. For most users, I’d say it’s more than enough. Perhaps audiophiles will not be satisfied but nonetheless, this is not one of its major issues.

Noise cancellation. Is very good, however, the noise cancelling feature is not as good as the Air Pods’.  But the noise cancelling works well once your music is playing.

Design. The earbuds will probably struggle to stay in your ear. You might be able to get them in well, but if you are a bit sweaty, they will start to slip and you’ll have to push them in. Additionally, this creates another issue. The play/pause button placement on the two earbuds. However, when the earbud slips out of your ear, you’ll have to push it back in, and you are highly likely to press the button and pause the music. But this will just require some time for you to get used to.

Battery life. It’s actually pretty good. However, the issue with the battery is that, in order to connect your earbuds, it is reliant on the case having some charge. If your case is dead but the earbuds are not, you cannot connect them through Bluetooth.

Overall, the Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are not a bad purchase. If you are not looking to spend £250 on Air Pods Pros right now, the Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are a very good cost-effective option.

The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones are both pretty stylish and supremely comfortable. We could wear them for hours and still want to listen more.

The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones fit in your ear nicely, they are relatively secure and very comfortable. The noise-cancelling and transparency profiles are also useful additions for the money.

The easy one-touch iPhone and Android pairing – and the clever iOS14.6 integration hacks – complete a compelling, affordable Beats alternative to AirPods. The Beats Studio Buds In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones provide a really good experience when it comes to listening to music or an audiobook.
